My name is Barbara Dixon and I am a family support worker for PSL. I currently support people in the Winchester, Southampton and Eastleigh area however I have previously covered Fareham, Gosport and Havant over the years.
My job role includes supporting people with loved ones that have drug and or alcohol use and the behaviours that can impact on the lives of those supporting them. This can be by way of face-to-face support, telephone support and also groups which can help to reduce the feelings of isolation and shame sometimes associated with substance use.
Outside of work I like to spend time with my horse and dog, exploring new places in my camper van and making and selling my handcrafted fused glass and silver jewellery.
